Synopsis

A woman invites two girlfriends for a perfect afternoon tea, but loses control of the situation when the topic of international relations comes up and reveals the truth of their relationship.

Martine Roquebrune is a Montreal-based writer, director and actress. She graduates from Concordia University in International Business Management and writes a Master's in International Security at the University of St. Andrews, in Scotland. Martine joins the Foreign Service and becomes a diplomat, serving in the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Russia. Back in Ottawa, Martine decides to follow her artistic dreams and studies acting, script writing and directing. The real adventure starts when she leaves the Department of Foreign Affairs and comes back to Montreal. Martine has lead roles in two award winning short films: Algebra from director and filmmaker Jith Paul and in a France-Quebec co-production, Les heures blanches, by Karim Bensalah. Jasmine and Macaroons is her first short film as a writer-director. The film is an official selection - and has its world premiere - at the Raindance Film Festival, in London.

Diplômée de L'École Nationale de Théâtre du Canada, la comédienne et chanteuse Catherine Sénart oeuvre dans les milieux théâtral et télévisuel depuis bientôt 25 ans. À la télévision, Catherine a donné corps et âme à Marguerite Volant dans la télésérie historique éponyme de RadioCanada. Elle a été des distributions entre autres de Grande Ourse II, Casino, La Promesse, et plus récemment, dans 30 Vies, Subito Texto et Mon Meilleur Ami (pour laquelle elle s'est méritée une nomination meilleure actrice aux Gémeaux 2013). Au théâtre, on l'a vue dans plusieurs productions, travaillant avec un grand nombre de metteurs en scène dont: Lorraine Pintal, Wajdi Mouawad, René-Richard Cyr, Frédéric Blanchette, Brigitte Haentjens, Denise Filiatrault. Au cours des décennies, Catherine s'est forgée une solide expérience comme chanteuse en participant à plusieurs productions de Théâtre musical dont My Fair Lady (rôle d' Eliza Doolittle), Neuf (Nine), Les Filles de Caleb. En 2008, elle a aussi monté et produit elle-même un spectacle-solo rendant hommage à l'auteur-compositeur Stéphane Venne: L'Amour selon Venne. Aujourd'hui, Jasmin et Macarons aimerait vous présenter la splendide actrice, Vanessa Seiler. Vanessa Seiler a été formée au métier de comédienne au studio Alain de Bock à Paris. En 2005, elle est de la distribution de Je pensais que mon père était Dieu, présenté au festival d'Avignon. La même année, elle s'installe à Montréal. Depuis, on a pu la voir au théâtre, notamment dans Sspérances (L'eau du bain, OFFTA), Les Présidentes (m.e.s Daniel Paquette) et Grand-peur et misère du IIIè Reich (m.e.s René Migliaccio), ainsi que dans plusieurs productions en théâtre jeune public. Elle enseigne également au baccalauréat spécialité théâtre du Collège Marie de France de Montréal.
