Treepot.tv is where Treepot Media began. It was a collaborative sandbox where independent musicians and photo/video/media types found opportunities to collaborate, network, learn and grow. The group that gathered informally in Ottawa and launched 37 episodes streamed online and on iTunes between 2010 and 2013. Operating for just over three years, Treepot.tv resulted in some amazing collaborations, was nominated for Canada's Best Music Website in CBCRadio 3 Spotlight in 2011 and launched a few careers.

A few days after we launched, a CBC News crew visited the Treepot Media as we prepared to shoot an episode of Indie Attic at the Cajun Attic in Ottawa's Byward Market. Here's Ryan Hicks' story from that day's evening news.
Treepot Media is a production company based in Ottawa, Canada, that produces and collaborates on documentaries, short films, music, event and promotional videos. Our latest projects include Drum with Us, an advocacy video for ACTRA National's Diversity Committee and the short films Jasmin et Macarons, a conversation between a woman and her two friends over afternoon tea and Before Me, a film that explores social intolerance and its impact on children.
